Royce Reeves was sentenced on December 11 th on three charges that were originally filed in August of 2021. He was sentenced to 60 months probation, $1,500 in fines
and 40 hours of community services. He is also subject to special drug and alcohol
stipulations as condition of his probation. Mr. Reeves had been serving as a
Commissioner in the City of Cordele. He is currently suspended from that position.
The long-term issue of his seat has not yet been resolved. Mr. Reeves still faces
charges of selling marijuana, gang activity, and RICO charges.
