Marie Lucille Mann, age 76, of Cordele passed away at Phoebe Hospital in Albany on November 29, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jennings Mann Jr. and Ruby Lee Gilliam Mann. She is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Melton Lang. Marie was a member of Warwick Methodist Church. As an occupation, she loved working at Pless Peanuts as a Lab Tech. Animals captured her heart and she cared for them admirably. She loved the outdoors and that was evident in her yard work and her care for the beauty of flowers. Besides her immediate family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in Marie’s heart and there was absolutely nothing that she wouldn’t do for all of them. Marie is survived by a daughter, Tammy Arnett of Cordele, GA; a sister, Betty McLemore of Albany, GA; two grandchildren, Tamala Mathis (Brice), Ray Arnett (Melissa); three great-grandchildren, Harper Mathis, Bailey Mathis, and Mykenzie Williams; and nieces and nephew, Shawn Miller (Artie), Ashley Morey, and James Morey. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 3, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services, with the family receiving guests prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm, and following the service interment will take place at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
