At approximately 10:08 am a sheriff’s deputy was traveling west on Rockhouse Road when he failed to yield right of way to a white Chevy Silverado traveling south on HWY 41. The sheriff’s vehicle struck the Chevy pickup in the intersection. The two occupants of the Silverado where transported by EMS to Crisp Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The deputy was treated on scene.
“Traveling over 100,000 miles a month, accidents are bound to happen,” says Sheriff Hancock. However, its not good when they do. “My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the accident.”
