Crisp County Middle School teacher Arrested for Sexual Misconduct involving a minor for whom he had the responsibility of educating and supervising.

CRISP COUNTY, GA (October 24, 2024): On Thursday, October 24, 2024 at approximately 1:15 A.M., the Crisp County Sheriff Office arrested Danyal Johnson, a 49-year-old male from Tifton, Georgia.

On October 23, 2024, a mandated reporter notified the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office about speculation of improper sexual conduct between a teacher and a juvenile. Upon investigation, Crisp County Sheriff’s CID discovered evidence that resulted in the following warrant being issued.

• Sexual Misconduct by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority.

This is an active and ongoing investigation with additional charges pending. Johnson resigned following his arrest. He was arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.
