Attention Citizens,
We want to inform you that one of several Emergency Evacuation Shelters in Georgia is scheduled to open in Crisp County later today.
About the American Red Cross Emergency Evacuation Shelter:
This shelter is specifically designated as an emergency shelter, providing a safe location for residents impacted by Hurricane Milton before, during, and immediately after the storm. Please note that these facilities are intended for short-term use only and are not equipped for prolonged stays. They serve as temporary safe havens until residents are either allowed to return home or arrangements are made for general sheltering.
What This Means for Crisp County:
We may experience an increase in highway traffic, as well as visitors from out of state passing through while seeking refuge from Hurricane Milton. Please be patient.
