Johnny Paramore, age 77, of Pitts, passed away on October 4, 2024, at his residence. He was the son of the late Willie J. and Nellie Bruce Paramore. Johnny was also preceded in death by three brothers, B.J. Paramore, James Paramore, and Ronnie Paramore Sr.; and four sisters, Frances Conner, Louise Watts, Delores Felts, and Janice Harpe. Johnny had several passions. He loved gardening and eating the fruits of his green thumb skills. He didn’t mind yard work because it allowed him to be outdoors, where he also enjoyed fishing as a pastime. He loved fishing so much he was involved in other’s enjoying the sport in that he worked at Mitchell’s Bait & Tackle for a number of years. As a sport’s enthusiast, he cheered for the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and the Atlanta Falcons. Johnny spent much of his life as a cotton ginner, and had much respect for farmers and farming in general. Johnny is survived by his son, Stan Paramore and his wife, Rita, of Pitts, GA; his daughter, Hope Vasko and her husband, Jeff, of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, Chad Paramore (Sara), John Thomas Paramore (Sarah), Sierra Linder (Austin), Zach Vasko (Jackie), Rachel Vasko, Kaitlyn Calhoun, and Chase Calhoun; five great-grandchildren, Weston Brown, Luke Brown, Malorie Holt, Evelyn Paramore, and Hunter Stewart; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation where the family will be receiving guests from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Rainey Family Funeral Services in Cordele. A graveside service honoring Johnny will take place on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Hill Cemetery in Rochelle, GA (Wilcox County).Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
