Sara Frost, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Frost of Arabi, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout during her Troop’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Monday, August 5, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Albany. She is a founding member of Albany Scouts BSA Troop 13, the first all-girl Scouts BSA Troop chartered by the South Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Troop was chartered by St. Teresa’s in 2019, on the first

Sara was one of six girls who recently earned the coveted Eagle Scout rank in Troop 13 and received their awards during the ceremony. The other new Eagle Scouts are Lucy Davis, Carter Mallow, Alexandra Patton, Annelyn Serina, and Isabella Serina. They are all from Albany.

Sara has earned 35 merit badges. She has also earned bronze and gold palms, which are awarded for every five merit badges above the 21 required to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. She is also a Brotherhood member of the Withlacoochee Lodge of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society.

Sara is a recent graduate of Crisp County High School. She has enrolled at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus where she will major in Business. John and Lee Frost are owners of Brady’s Best Buys in Cordele and Albany. John Frost is the Scoutmaster of Cordele Boy Scout Troop 270 while his wife Lee is a Troop Committee Member, serving as Treasurer for the Troop. Their two sons, Jack and
Michael, also earned the rank of Eagle Scout as members of Troop 270 and work in the family business.
