Hunter Davis Hayslip age 23, of Cobb passed away surrounded by his family on July 5, 2024. Through Hunter’s death he was able to save other’s lives as an organ donor through Donate Life. He is the son of Kenneth James Young, and his wife, Mindy, and his mother, Brandy Hayslip Mason, and her husband, Junior. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Larry Young, and Thelma Leonhardt. Hunter had many interests and hobbies. He loved playing video games. He was a sports’ enthusiast in that he enjoyed playing golf and hunting, especially duck hunting, and fishing. His favorite genre of music was 90’s hip hop. Hunter was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Hunter is survived by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Jackie Hayslip; one sister, Anna Holt and her husband, Ryan, of Cordele; a dear friend, Will Mercer, of Cordele; and special cousin, Landon Jacobs, of Vienna. Hunter is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will host a visitation and receive guests Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Rainey Family Funeral Services in Cordele. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Interment will follow at Walnut Cemetery, Unadilla, GA, in Dooly County. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to the funeral service to Rainey Family Funeral Services would be gratefully appreciated. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
