Wilbur Jackie Brown Jr., age 73, passed away on June 19, 2024, at Pruitt Health in Ashburn, GA. Jackie was the son of the late Wilbur Jackie Brown Sr. and Minnie Stephens Brown. He is also preceded in death by a son, C.J. Brown. Jackie was a long-time professional truck driver for the Schneider National Carriers, and retired from this company in 2021. When home off the road, his favorite restaurant was the Waffle House where he socialized with many friends.  He served this country in Vietnam as a proud marine. Jackie is survived by four children, Wilbur Jackie Brown III (Kristy) of Kerrville, TX, Kelly Varnedoe (Matt) of Cordele, GA, David Brown (Crystal) of Mooresville, NC, and Steven Brown (Ariel) of Brooksville, FL; thirteen grandchildren, Kiley Brown, Katie Brown, Jackson Wilhelm, Gabrielle Brown, Everly Brown, Juniper Brown, Roxanne Brown, Winter Brown, Cooper Davis, Ashton Davis, Deacon Varnadoe, Colton Varnadoe, and Maggie Varnadoe; one great-grandchild, Kialee Compton. Friends are invited to a graveside memorial service that will take place at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery in Cordele on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
