Wynelle Thomaston Ayers, 90, of Vienna passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services, with burial following in Vienna City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service, Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wynelle was born in Cordele to the late John Ed Thomaston and Bessie Thelma Coleman Thomaston. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Wright and a brother, John Thomaston. Wynelle was a homemaker and an active member of River View Baptist church. She loved her Lord and her church family. She loved to travel, especially to the beach. She enjoyed the outdoors and working in her flowers and yard. She enjoyed baking and was an excellent cook. She was in her  happy place though when she was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Wynelle is survived by her husband of 70 years, Pat Ayers of Vienna; a daughter, Vicki Wright of Albany; a brother and his wife, Wade and Wynelle Thomaston of Dothan, AL; a granddaughter and her husband, Erin and Marc Johnson of Albany; five great-grandchildren, Jade Roberts and Kace Johnson, both of Albany, Kolby Wright of Texas, and Breanna Wright and Hailey Wright, both of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
