Henry Lee Grimsley, 61, of Cordele passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to going to the cemetery at Rainey Family Funeral Service from 12:30 til 1:45 p.m. Born in Hawkinsville, he was the son of the late John Grimsley and Mary Purvis Grimsley. He was retired and enjoyed doing things that he enjoyed, such as buying and fixing up cars and reselling them. He collected arrowheads and loved to dance. His family was his top priority and he always enjoyed the time they could be together, eat and fellowship around the table. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Henry is survived by his children, Crissy (James Cox) Underwood of Cordele, Nikki (Scooter ) Jenkins of Cobb, Shane (Jessica) Amerson of Cordele and Jessica Underwood of Montezuma; his finaceé, Marie Powell of Cordele; two brothers, John (Lisa) Grimsley of Warner Robins and Edward (Cindy) Grimsley of Centerville; three sisters, Mary Jane Grimsley, Lena (Bo) Hobgood, and Barbara (Jess) Casteel, all of Cordele; nine grandchildren, Brayden Bennett, Breleigh Bennett, Kaden Anderson, Brant Drinnon, Marvin Amerson, Josh Amerson, Skiler Amerson, Destiny (Ryan) Ragsdale and Trinity Jenkins; and five great-grandchildren, Waylon Drinnon, Tatum Ragsdale, Camden Ragsdale, Jason Dunlap, III and Isaiah Amerson.
