Multiple Shootings occurred Saturday Night

On March 23rd, 2024, officers with the Cordele Police Department responded to two shootings that occurred Saturday night. The first shooting resulted in a female being shot. She received treatment at Crisp Regional Hospital for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
The second shooting occurred in the 500th block of West 16th Avenue in the parking lot of Quick Mart. Two adult males, forty-nine-year-old Ben Foreman, and twenty-seven-year-old Christopher King, died as a result of injuries they sustained in this shooting. When officers arrived, they found the two victims lying in front of the store. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Our agency requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Detectives with the Police Department are working with the GBI to identify the suspect(s) responsible. Our agency would like to thank the GBI, Georgia State Patrol, Crisp County EMS, and the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office for assisting our agency.
