I was born and raised in Crisp County and I am a life long resident of Crisp County.
I am currently the Magistrate Judge in Crisp County. I took Office January 1 st , 2022, and
I am in my 3 rd year of Office now. I am a certified Magistrate Judge in the state of
Georgia which means I have taken all courses required by state law to become a
certified Magistrate.
I am running for the office of Chief Magistrate. The current Chief Magistrate Judge,
Steven Ingram announced that he is not seeking re-election and I am seeking to be
elected to that position.
I am an Army Veteran, I served in the Unites States Army from 2012 to 2015 and
received an honorable discharge.
In 2015 I went to work for the Cordele Police Department and worked there from 2015
to 2021. I held the rank of Sergeant as a Supervisor in the Uniform Patrol Division and
later became an Investigator. I resigned at the end of 2021 to assume office as
Magistrate Judge in January of 2022.
I graduated from Thomas University with my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
I am the only candidate running for Chief Magistrate Judge that is already a Magistrate
Judge. I am the only candidate with a background in Criminal Justice, and I have
worked in the Criminal Justice field in Crisp County for 9 years. I have the experience in
and out of the Court Room to carry out the duties of Chief Magistrate.
