Local Scouters attend BSA Indian Weather event

Section E6, Order of the Arrow held its annual Indian Winter event at the Bert Adams Scout Camp, near Covington, Georgia, on January 5-7, 2024. Section E6 serves eleven lodges in Georgia and Alabama.
Indian Winter is a weekend event geared towards American Indian Activities (AIA), leadership development, and fellowship. With a wide variety of trainings, there are many different activities and classes to participate in.
Troop Committee Chair Terry Fennell and Assistant Scoutmaster Britt Brinson of Cordele Boy Scout Troop 270 joined 20 other Arrowmen from the Withlacoochee Lodge at the event. Withlacoochee is the OA Lodge chartered under the South Georgia Council BSA. Over 400 Scouts and Scouters attended the event.
The Order of the Arrow is Scouting’s national honor society. Both Fennell and Brinson are Vigil members of the Order.
