Come join us and step into the past!
The Frontier Heritage Days is a pre-1840’s event hosted at the Boy Scout’s Camp Osborn (480 Camp Osborn Road, Sylvester, GA) in Worth County. For the last 30 years this event was held at Chehaw Park in Albany. Not much is changing in this wonderful event other than the location!
For the weekend, all the participants live as if from that era. They camp, dress, cook, and live as they would have in the Longhunter and Mountain Man Days. Tipis and different canvas tents typical to that era will be throughout the camp. You will get to see blacksmithing, candle making, moccasin making, weaving, spinning, animal hide tanning, bow making, and so much more.
There will also be tomahawk, archery, and black powder shooting competitions. You won’t want to miss them as the banter between competitors is great! Campfire cooking, blanket trade demonstrations, and kid’s primitive games will be there as well. Come enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride!
Along with the demonstrations, games and rides, our Traders will have wonderful goods available for purchase.
