Staff Reports
Middle Georgia Honor Flight will announce its upcoming schedule of flights at a special
press conference on Thursday, January 11, at 10:00 a.m. at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport,
off Highway 247 between Macon and Warner Robins. All honor flights from Middle Georgia are
on Contour Airlines.
Part of a nationwide network of more than 130 hubs, Middle Georgia Honor Flight was
founded in 2018 and has taken nearly 300 veterans on 18 flights to Washington D.C. to see their
war memorials. These once-in-a-lifetime trips are free for these veterans. Veterans who served in
World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and terminally ill veterans from more recent campaigns are
eligible for these flights.
Middle Georgia Honor Flight is a non-profit organization, funded by corporate
sponsorships, donations, and fundraising events. We will also be announcing a major fundraiser
scheduled for April. The media and the public are invited to attend this press conference. Parking
is free at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport.
