DISA J6 congratulates George Everett, Jr. on his upcoming retirement on Dec. 31, 2023!
After serving 23 years in the United States Air Force, George began his 27 &1/2 years of Federal Civilian Service with the Defense Telecommunications Service-Washington (DTS-W). While George has technically served in the same organization for all those years, the agency’s name has change numerous times due to agency mergers. George has worked as an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager in the DISA/JSP Voice Services Section (JP3), and more specifically, he has been a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) under several voice services contracts at Ft. Belvoir for 24 years.
In addition, George has served on several contract source selection committees, facilitated numerous large agency BRAC moves, chaired countless contractual Integrated Process Review (IPR) Meetings, and saved customers many thousands of dollars by challenging vendor pricing, if warranted. Most recently, George was instrumental in the preparation, solicitation, awarding, and transitioning of the Voice Services for the 250,000 DISA/JSP Voice Services Customers in the National Capitol Region (NCR) from the General Services Administration (GSA) Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 3 (WITS3) to the GSA Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) Contract.
Thank you for your many years of service to DISA J6 and its legacy organizations!
