Troop 270 spent the weekend of December 8-10 at Camp Patten, near Lakeland, GA, teaching knots at the Webelos Rendezvous. The event is held annually at Camp Patten and teaches the Webelos Scouts skills that they will need when they cross over to a Scouts BSA Troop.
Almost 50 Webelos Scouts shuttled through the three knot stations staffed by members of Troop 270.
Troop 270 Scouts who participated in the event were Dalton Baker, Simon Baker, Jacob Frost, Cody Ngo, and Jensen Wade. The guys were supported by Scoutmaster John Frost, Assistant Scoutmaster David Wade, and Troop Committee Members Brady Atkins and Gene Baker.
For their efforts, Troop 270 was recognized by event organizers and the participating Cub Scout Packs for delivering the best program among the six Troops that presented during the weekend. They were awarded a BSA Lodge cast iron skillet, which has the BSA emblem on the bottom.
