Free COVID-19 testing available

At the Rochelle City Council meeting on Wednesday night, Mayor Wayne McGuinty announced that the Department of Public Health will be conducting free COVID-19 testing in Rochelle on Monday, May 11th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Rochelle First Baptist Church. Testing will also take place Saturday, May 16th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Abbeville at the Farmers Market.
The Georgia Department of Public Health West Central District is also operating locations in Crisp and Dooly counties where residents can get tested for COVID-19:
Crisp County – Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. while supplies last and weather permitting. Collection site is the J.R Dowdy Building, 1129 N 5th St., Cordele. For more information call 229-276-2680.
Dooly County – Monday through Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., by appointment only, while supplies last and weather permitting. Collection site is Dooly County Health Department, 204 West Union St., Vienna. For more information call 229-268-4725.
