Fitzgerald teen arrested in Cordele Taco Bell robbery

A Fitzgerald man is being held at the Ben Hill County Jail in connection with the Wednesday robbery of Taco Bell in Cordele, according to a press release issued by the Cordele Police Department. 19-year-old Timothy Grandy of Fitzgerald has been arrested in Fitzgerald and has charges in Cordele for robbery and burglary in the second degree, both felonies.
Grandy is facing additional charges for hit and run as a result of a traffic accident he was allegedly involved in earlier that same day in Cordele.
Cordele Police Chief Lewis Green expressed thanks to the Dispatchers at Crisp County E-911 that keyed in on crucial information right away about the suspect vehicle involved and the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, which assisted with several aspects of the case, mainly in obtaining information on the suspect vehicle and helping coordinate with Ben Hill County and Fitzgerald Police Department. Green and the CPD additionally want to thank Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office and Fitzgerald Police for aiding in the investigation.
