Mrs. Vanneece Nelms Brooks, 55 of Cordele died Saturday April 25, 2020.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Brooks was born on December 10, 1964 in Sylvester. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was formerly a Realtor. Mrs. Brooks was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Sylvester and also attended Bethany Primitive Baptist Church. She was very active as a volunteer for the school system and the booster club; Vanneece enjoyed going to the beach and loved animals, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Craige Brooks of Cordele; son, Cullen Brooks of Roswell, GA; mother, Beckie Johnson Nelms of Worth County; siblings, Gary Nelms of Bartow, FL; Karen Jordan (Kenny) of Lakeland, FL and Sandra Denton (Scottie) of Worth County; mother and father in law, Celia and Floyd Brooks of Worth County; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her father, Olon L. Nelms and a brother, Hoyt D. Nelms.
