A private family graveside service for Mary Lou Sims Faircloth of Cordele will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery. Mary Lou, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Fellowship Home in Cordele. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Britt Faircloth, Sr. She was born in Warwick and was the daughter of the late William Wallace Sims and Ettiene Bond Sims. Mary Lou was a homemaker and devoted member of her church, Northside Baptist Church in Tifton, and to her Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading and sewing in her spare time. Her biggest love in life, though was her family and spending time with them. Mary Lou is survived by her children and their spouses, a son, George and Janet Faircloth of Cordele and two daughters, Theresa and Allen White of Blakely and Linda and Randy Clements of Tifton; five grandchildren, Amanda (David) Broyles, Brittany (Zack Fordham) Faircloth, Matthew White, Tom (Laura) Pritchett and Jesse (Emily) Pritchett; and two great-grandchildren, Analee Pritchett and Thomas Pritchett. Memorial donations to Andrea Wade, 191 Lake Drive, Cordele, GA 31015  for the Cordele Animal Shelter, or the Blackshear Veterinary Hospital at 2620 GA Hwy 90, South, Cordele, GA 31015 (a fund that helps with treatments needed at the shelter); or to Northside Baptist Church, 4605 Murray Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794 would be appreciated by the family.
