Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Blackwell will be a private family service. There will be a live stream on the Rainey Facebook page and website at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2020. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Rainey Family Funeral Services from 4 to 8 PM. Sarah, 17, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. She was born in Cordele and was the daughter of Jake and Pamela Morrison Blackwell. A beautiful young lady with a smile that would light up the room, she was a Junior at Crisp County High School, where she was a member of the Crisp County Marching Band. She was in the dual enrollment program and an active member of the 4-H Club. She was also a member of the Chik-fil-a Leadership Academy and HOSA, a medical pathway class. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting with her Daddy and was an active member of Wenona Baptist Church. Most of all Sarah was happy with life, extending a beautiful smile and a kind word to all that she met. Sarah is survived by her parents, Jake and Pamela Blackwell of Cordele; two sisters, Courtney Blackwell and Alli Blackwell; paternal grandparents, J.W. and Dorothy Blackwell and maternal grandparents, Robert and Linda Morrison; two special aunts and uncles, Rebecca and Harold Payne of Beuna Vista and Tammera and Robert Sears of Cordele; and her fur babies, Daisy and Max.
