Funeral services for Carol Jane Dale will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. The service will be limited to 50 people. The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 20 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville.

Carol, 91, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dale, Sr. and a daughter Fern Loraine Dale. She was retired from Firestone in Albany and was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her church family held a special place in her heart. Carol had led an active life, staying busy with being a part of the prison ministry and playing tennis until age 88. She was a devout Christian, and showed that love for Him by extending a helping hand to those in need.

Carol is survived by a son, Roy Dale, Jr. and his wife, Becky of Cordele; five grandchildren, Heather Dale Adams, Amy Cranford, Stephanie Windon, John West and Jennifer Dale; 11 great-grandchildren, Ashlee, M.J., Matthew, Lily, Magdalene, Claire, Alora, Coby, Jonah, Gunner and Cecelia; and four great-grandchildren.
