A graveside service for Lillie Marjorie “Margie” Beard of Warwick will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Story-Odom Cemetery in Warwick. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Rainey Family Funeral Services.

Margie passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Crisp Regional Hospital.  Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Ruth Hobby McAfee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery William Beard, Sr.; her son, Jeffery William Beard, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Beard; and four sisters, Sara Benedict, Frieda Williams, Quinnie Odom and Jimmie Lou Goff.

Margie was a talented seamstress and a faithful and active member of Acorn Pond Baptist Church. She loved her family and church family and was very devout in her faith. Margie enjoyed cooking especially for her family and being able to prepare their favorites.

She is survived by her son, Clifton Dale Beard of Warwick;  her granddaughter, Christina Beard and her fiancé, Trevor Fennell of Warwick. Arrangements are by Rainey Family Funeral Services. An online guest register is available at www.raineyfuneral.com.
