Jack Stephens, age 89, of 407 Oak Avenue, Pinehurst, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Stephens and Haddie Aultman Stephens. He retired from Robins Air Force Base and then worked for the Dooly County Sheriff’s Department as a court baliff. Jack was a longtime member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church and was also a member of Millwood Masonic Lodge # 198. He loved fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Cassell (William Jones) of Cornelia; his son, Tracy Stephens of Pinehurst; his grandchildren, Chuck Cassell of Cornelia, Jackie Hood of Cornelia,Casey Cassell of Cornelia, Sam Cassell of Redding, CA, Kori Stephens of Perry and Jordan Stephens of Elko; his great grandchildren, Jazmin Hood and Eva Owens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Swain Stephens and his siblings, James Stephens, Juanita Holton and Harold Stephens.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
