UPDATE: Lake Blackshear Baptist Church has rescheduled its Fall Festival for next Saturday, Oct. 26.
Rains in the Crisp County area were a welcome relief this past week, but more showers forecast for this weekend have put a damper on a few events scheduled for the weekend.
Saturday’s ‘Rivers Alive’ cleanup at Lake Blackshear’s Blue Hole, located near the corner of Scenic Route and Ferry Landing Road, has been postponed until November 23 from 9-11 a.m., according to Keep Crisp Beautiful Executive Director Catherine Harrell.
Northern Heights Baptist Church announced Friday morning that, in anticipation of storms forecast for Saturday afternoon, it has postponed its planned annual Fall Festival, which was slated for today from 3-6 p.m. As of press time, the church has not yet determined when it will reschedule the popular event.
