A memorial service for Bobby Gene Wright, Sr., of Vienna, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Vienna Church of God. Bobby passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Crisp Regional Hospital. Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late James Elbert Wright, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Musselwhite Wright. He was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Gene “BJ” Wright, Jr. and his life-long companion, Carol Janes. Bobby was retired but had worked for many years with Helena Industries and Pepsi Bottling Company. A member of the Christian faith, he was a talented musician and singer and an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Ann Harpe of Cordele; a brother and his wife, James E. Wright, Jr. and Jennifer Wright of Dunn, N.C.; a sister and her husband, Patricia and Burt Ussery of Arabi; grandchildren Patrick Hutto, Dustin Harpe, Olivia Harpe, Skyler Mandujano, Lorelie Mandujano, Will Wright, Christian Poole, Chloe Wright, Skylar Wright, Jaycee Wright and Hunter Wright; two nieces and a nephew, Amanda Hutchins, Crystal Griffin and Jeremy Wright; and his beloved cat, Taz.
