Funeral services for Herman Clinton Johnson of Cordele will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2019 in the chapel of Rainey Family Funeral Services. Herman will be laid to rest in Seville Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Herman, 69, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Cordele Health and Rehab. Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late Carl Johnson and Minnie Lucy Barefoot Johnson.  Herman loved life and enjoyed interacting with others, whether it be dancing or playing bingo. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and traveling. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Herman is survived by a brother and his wife, Harold Joseph and Lisa Johnson of El Paso, Texas;  a nephew and his wife, Chris and Sabrina Layfield of Vienna; three nieces and their husbands, Stacey Johnson of Vienna, Cassandra and Brandon Bellamy of Cordele, Deanna and Chris Uptmore of San Antonio, Texas; and several great-nieces and nephews.
