FROM A CORDELE POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE:

An undisclosed amount of money was taken during an armed robbery at Pizza Hut, 1508 East 16th Avenue in Cordele shortly after 10:00 pm Thursday. A lone male subject brandished a firearm and demanded money from the business.

He was described as a light skinned black male, approximately 20-30 years of age. He is approximately 5’7” in height and weighs approximately 130 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.

No one was injured during the crime, however the suspect is still at large.

“Anyone with information about the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to contact the Detective Division at the Cordele Police Department at 229-276-2921,” said CPD Chief Lewis Green, adding, “I would also like to thank the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office in assisting with searching for the suspect.”
