Funeral services for Wayne Carter were held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Black and Rev. Larry Deloach officiated the service. Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens..

Marcene Freeman, pianist, played for the service. Rev. Larry Deloach played the guitar and sang “House of Gold.” “A Picture of Me Without You” and “Farther Along” were also played.

Pallbearers were: Greg Carter, Shannon Rhodes, Chad Carter, Stacy Carter, Troy Black, Jr. and Ricky Watson

Honorary Pallbearers were: Hugh Mitchell, Dale Willis, Edward Greene, Tony Tyler, Larry Crutchfield, Thomas Rachels and Bubba Hughes.
