Superior Court Chief Judge Robert Chasteen today denied bond to the two brothers charged in the March 17 shooting death of Jaquarious Benjamin in Rochelle, according to a statement released by District Attorney Brad Rigby.
Marquavous Coley, age 20, and his 17-year-old brother, both of Rochelle, are being held on charges of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. The Coley brothers allegedly shot two other people during the incident.
Benjamin was reportedly celebrating his upcoming birthday when a group of people arrived and a dispute ensued, which ultimately resulted in the shooting.
