CCHS tennis splits home matches versus Veterans

Crisp County High School’s tennis teams played their first home matches of the season on Wednesday afternoon against Veterans High School. The CCHS Lady Cougars pulled out a 3-2 win over Veterans on the day, while the Cougars fell in their matches 3-2.

Girls’ results:

Singles matches: Jordan Lawson (CCHS) defeated Amaya Reece (Veterans) 9-7

Audrey Mercer (CCHS) defeated Mindy Nelson (Veterans) 8-3

Hannah Cook (CCHS) defeated Elina Hill (Veterans) 8-2

 

Doubles matches: Elena Hampton and Mikala Hampton (Veterans) defeated Brittany Bertelson and Bailey LaGrone (CCHS) 8-4

Isha Shah and Alanis Reyrs (Veterans) defeated Tatum Coleman and Tess Stripling (CCHS) 8-3

Carson Chambers and Skye Stephens (CCHS) defeated Allie and Trinity (Veterans) 8-7

 

Boys’ results:

Singles: Fabian Bartel (CCHS) defeated Daniel Kang (Veterans) 8-4

Noah Goff (Veterans) defeated Jeremiah Bell (CCHS) 8-6

Nathan Farmer (Veterans) defeated Daylon Collins (CCHS) 8-5

Nick Benson (Veterans) defeated Ryland Reed (CCHS) 8-0

Cole Robinson (Veterans) defeated Dalton Yarbrough (CCHS) 8-2

 

Doubles: Bryce Buchanan and Sam Hagan (Veterans) defeated Tyler Adams and Drew Braziel (CCHS) 8-5

Dayshawn Collins and Andrew Willis (CCHS) defeated Aaron Gabriel Mueller and Cohen Ray (Veterans) 8-3

Jacorieon Bartell and Javan Hardeman (CCHS) defeated Aaron Geiger and Aidan Foster (Veterans) 8-3

 

The CCHS girls went to 2-0 on the season with the win, while the boys are 1-1 after Wednesday’s defeat.

The CCHS tennis teams are scheduled to be in action at the Wildcat Invitational in Valdosta this weekend. The boys play at McKey Park, while the Lady Cougars will be playing at VSU.
