TAMPA – Memorial services for Ronald Burt Raines, 66, will be held Saturday, Feb 2, 2019 at 2 P.M. at the graveside in Zion Hope Cemetery Annex (Lebannon Cemetery

Mr. Raines passed away in Tampa, Fla. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018. He was born in Americus, Ga. to the late Ann Bedgood Raines and Doc Melton Raines, Sr.

He is survived by his daughters: Ashley Raines (Christopher) Brown of Ooltewah, Tenn. and Anna Raines (Carey) Dickerson of Acworth, Ga.; his brother: Doc M. Raines, Jr. of Sandy Springs, Ga.; and his grandchildren: Carter Brown and Deacon Brown.

Mr. Raines had retired to Tarpon Springs, Florida to enjoy sailing on his beloved sailboat, “The Time Bandit.” He retained his residence in Cordele and split this time between Cordele and Tarpon Springs.
