Wilcox County Commissioners, in conjunction with the cities of Rochelle, Abbeville, Pineview and Pitts, encourage all Wilcox residents to attend a public forum with officials from Keep Georgia Beautiful in hopes of forming a Keep Wilcox Beautiful chapter.

The public forum will be held on Monday December 3, 2018 at 1:30pm at the Rochelle Community Center located on highway 280 across from Doster’s. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Contact the Commission office at 229-467-2737 if you have any questions or need further information.

Ruby Milling Naylor brought the issue of littering and illegal dumping to the Commissioners’ attention in July. Studies show that communities using the Keep Georgia Beautiful system have reduced litter by 48%. Organizers are hoping for a county-wide volunteer effort to eliminate litter in Wilcox County. Support is needed from all Wilcox County civic organizations, churches, schools, clubs, etc.
