CORDELE – Funeral services for Mickey Whitehead, 68, were held in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018. The service was officiated by Rev. Ed Eschmann and eulogies were given by Lee Ward and Jimmy Charles Mumphrey. “Knowing What I Know About Heaven” and “Go Rest High on That Mountain” were played during the service. Burial followed in Dorough Cemetery. Rev. Eschmann accompanied himself and Mrs. Jo Jo Thompson on the guitar as they sang “Build Me a Cabin.”

 

Serving as active pallbearers were: Jonathan Ray, Ethan Ray, David Barfield, Bailey Barfield, Jerry Odom and Elliott Canterbury. Honorary pallbearers were employees and past employees of Crisp County Power Commission.
