CORDELE- The Crisp County Middle School softball Lady Cougars finished up their regular season schedule on Thursday afternoon with a 13-0 victory over Lee County East.
Olivia Bridges pitched for CCMS and finished the contest with three innings pitched and five strikeouts while only allowing one Lee County hit.
Sara Ruth Raines was the offensive leader in the game for Crisp County with three hits in three at bats with three RBIs. Other contributors in the batting order for the Lady Cougars were Reagan Bozeman with two hits in four at bats and two RBIs, and Braylee Duckworth, Abby Eady and Addie Hobbs, all with two hits apiece.
The CCMS Lady Cougars finished the regular season in first place, with an undefeated record in region play to claim the one seed in the playoffs.
They will play on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Crisp County Rec Department softball field against Fitzgerald Middle School. The winning team will clinch a spot in the championship game to be played on Thursday.
