SAN BERNADINO, CA – Owens Bryan Edge died at home in San Bernardino, California on July 6, 2017.

He was born February 23, 1943, the son of Jennings and Odessa Owens Edge of Cordele. He is survived by his mother, Odessa Owens Dalrymple; his sister, Rita Allen; his wife, Shirley Walls, and their three children; Bryan Edge, Jr., and his wife Ana, Jayne Edge Kotter and her husband, James ‘Jim’, Christian Edge and his wife, Katelyn, and 14 grandchildren; Naomi, Ashleigh, Tori, and Alli Kotter; Owens Bryan, 111, Jesse, Mishael, and Alec Edge; Francisco, Fernando, Anita, Andrea, and Alondra Cancino; and Ashlyn Edge.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Jennings Edge and twin sons; Wesley and Lesley.

Owens loved the Lord and was committed to sharing the gospel of Christ. All who visited his sick room heard the powerful message of Christ’s love and redemption. He loved his family but his grandchildren were his delight.

He served the church as pastor, missionary, and evangelist for thirty years in the United States and Mexico.

Memorial services to honor Owens’ life will be held at Penia Baptist Church, 3738 Old Penia Rd. Cordele, Georgia, on Saturday, July 29, at 2:00 pm.
