A graveside service for Dr. Howard Maurice Warren of Vienna will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Zion Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to leaving for the cemetery from 10:00 until 10:45 at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Dr. Warren, 88, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ava Mae Stephens Warren. He was born in Dexter, Laurens County and was the son of the late John McKinley Warren, Sr. and Mattie Lou Knight Warren. A veteran of the United States Navy, Dr. Warren opened his dentistry practice in 1964 and retired in 2016 after 52 years. He was a member of Vienna First Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, sons, Joe Warren of Pinehurst, Steve Warren of Vienna and John Warren of Fitzgerald, and a daughter and her husband, Marie and Freddie Walter of Warner Robins; five granddaughters and their husbands, Crystal and Ryan Schwanke of Valdosta, Brittany Warren of Fitzgerald, Jade Walter, and Jennifer and Ryan Wade, all of Atlanta and Amber and Justin Wagnon of Cordele; and one grandson, Avery Warren of Fitzgerald; four great-grandchildren, Rosalyn Schwanke, Lyndon Wagnon, Ava Wagnon and Amelia Wagnon; and siblings, J.M. Warren, Jr. and Grace Williamson, both of Dexter.  The children would like to express their appreciation to Debra Forehand for the years of service and many acts of kindness shown to their father.
