On Tuesday night, the Cordele City Commission met for a brief time to read some proclamations and approve an alcohol license for the Country Club before breaking off into Executive Session. Chairman Zack Wade read a proclamation for Martha Howard. Mrs. Howard has faithfully served the citizens of Cordele at the Police Department for an astounding 52 years starting in 1965.
