A graveside service for Joseph Larry Hamrick, Jr. of Cordele will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Zion Hope Cemetery in Crisp County. The family will meet with friends immediately following the service.  Larry, 52, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Cordelia Manor.  He was born in Cordele and was the son of Joseph Larry Hamrick, Sr. and Elaine Folds Hamrick. Larry was a nurse supervisor (RET) in the ER of Northside Hospital in Atlanta. He was a six-year veteran of the United States Navy where he spent much of that time on a nuclear submarine. Larry is survived by his father and step-mother, Joe and Pat Hamrick of Lawrenceville; a sister and her husband, Susan Elizabeth and Rick Alexander of Chapin SC; and a niece and nephew, Lauren Alexander and Ryan Alexander, both of Chapin, SC.
