Patriots and Lady Patriots Hanging tough

The Wilcox Patriots added to their long list of victory’s Friday night with a hard fought 81-76 win over Twiggs County. The Pats went into halftime down 35-34 but tied it up after three periods. In the 4th they pulled ahead at the end to win. No other stats were available for the Patriots Friday night. Next up for the boys is a trip to Mt. Vernon to take on the Montgomery County Eagles on Thursday February 23rd. The boys record improved to 20-9 on the year. The Patriots beat the Eagles 68-53 back in December in Rochelle.
The Lady Patriots fell behind early 21-9 and came rolling back to win 49-42 over the Manchester Blue Devils. Junior Trajata Colbert led the Lady Pats scoring with 17 points and Senior Tiera Davis pumped in 10 more to push the Pats to the win. The lady Pats were 12 for 23 from the line and no other stats were available. Next up for the girls team is Woodville-Thompkins the number 4 ranked team in the state.
