CORDELE — Louis Jack Garrett, age 88 of Cordele, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his residence.  Born in Cordele, he was the son of the late Joseph Barnett Garrett and Onie Elrod Garrett and the youngest of 11 children.  He was the last surviving child of the eight that served during WWII. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Phillips Garrett.  Mr. Garrett is survived by several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements were by Rainey Family Funeral Services.
