Cougars Come from behind

The Gymnasium in Albany at Dougherty County High couldn’t hold them Cougars as they came from behind to down the Trojans 51-48 in key region contest.

Tied up after the first period at 5-5 Dougherty pulled slightly ahead at halftime 26-24.In the third period Dougherty tallied  3 more points than Crisp to go up by a score of 36-31. That’s when the Cougars got busy and poured in 20 points compared to Dougherty’s 12 to take the win. The Cougars shot 54% from the field and 70% from the line. Leading the team on offense was Quinatvious Dean with 20 points. Ijon Owens added 9 more for the Cougars and Valdis Daniel and Quay Walker both chipped in 7 points for Crisp County.

The Cougars only hauled in 17 rebounds compared to Dougherty’s 15. The Cougars  stole the ball 8 times to 2 and added 8 assists to Dougherty’s 2.
