CORDELE — Crisp County High School students are invited to be a part of the annual See You At The Pole event, a National Day of Prayer for students. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 7:15 a.m. in front of CCHS at the flagpole.
SYATP is a grass roots student-based prayer movement that actually began over 20 years ago. The fourth Wednesday in September each year is the day designated for the observance. Students, not just across the country, but around the world gather together at their school flagpoles and unite in prayer. They pray for their school, friends, and families. They also pray for our nation and the world. SYATP is a student-led prayer rally and it held before school hours. Students also pray for God’s guidance and help in their own lives.
The annual event got it’s start on September 12, 1990. It was on that day that 45,000 students from four different states met together at their respective school flagpoles to pray. Today, that number has grown to in the millions, spanning across the United States and to more than 20 other countries.
