Bishop visits local industry

Cordele — Bishop complimented Marvair employees on their work. “I am totally impressed with what you do and how you do it,” he said. “I congratulate you and thank you for what you do for your company, your community, and heating/air all around the world.”

Bishop added that Marvair is a great facility and a great workplace under great management. “I know ya’ll are looking forward to the inland port so you can get your products further out there and across the world.”

One employee asked Bishop for his outlook on the economy for this year and the year to come.

“No one can accurately predict what is going to happen,” he said, “but we have come a long way in 22 months. We have a long way to go with challenges ahead, but we need to put our best foot forward.”

Bishop predicts things will start looking up in the next year.
