11 grid Cougars makeall-region

CORDELE — Eleven members of Crisp County High’s grid team have been named to the All-Region 1-AAA football team recent selected by league coaches.
Linebacker Tommy Sanders received the highest honor among local players when he was named the Defensive Player of the Year for his 109 tackles.
Peach quarterback Patrick Taylor was tabbed as Offensive Player of the Year and Trojan mentor Chad Campbell was honored as Coach of the Year
Second-team selections from Crisp were linebacker Donte’ Colson and defensive tackle Davarius Oliver.
Cougars achieving honorable mention status on that team were offensive linemen Robbie Brubaker and Cody Stripling, placekicker Rodney Daniels, linebackers Tracy Walker and Dermonti Dempsey, defensive lineman Otis Ray and defensive backs James Williams and Marshall Taylor.
