Area runners place in Shamrock Jog & Jam 5K

Americus — Four Cordele runners registered high finishes in this past Saturday’s Shamrock Jog and Jam 5K.

Entered in the 11-14-year-old boys division, Will Lanneau turned in the best time of the quartet when he was clocked at 24:41. Laura Griffin, the runner-up entry in the women’s 30-34 class, was timed at 27:36.

Toni Lanneau, who placed third in the women’s 40-44 ranks, covered the 3.1-mile distance in a time of 30:38. Scheree Coleman, who entered the women’s 40-44 division, came in third with a 31:10 clocking.
