Adams signs with Auburn

Vienna — Dooly County High School senior and defensive tackle for the Bobcat football team, Montravius Adams signed a scholarship to play for the Auburn Tigers during a nationally publicized event held in the school gym this morning. There were four schools vying for Adams, who is one of the top defensive tackles in the nation. Surrounded by family and friends Adams selected the Auburn Tigers hat to reveal his choice and displayed an Auburn Tigers t-shirt.

"I did not come by my decision lightly," said Adams. "I prayed about it, consulted my family and slept on it and decided Auburn was the best place for me."

Adams thanked God first for his success and his parents, coaches and the everyone at DCHS that helped him to be a better person.

Jaylan Daniels, defensive end, signed with Troy State University and Jasean WiIey offensive guard/defensive tackle signed with the Mississippi Delta Community College.
