Sanders signs with Texas A&M

Cordele — Tommy Sanders, a former  linebacker at Crisp County High School, the #1 outside linebacker at Butler Community College and the #1 outside linebacker in the nation according to 247sports.com signed his letter of intent to play for the Texas A&M Aggies this past Thursday.

In high school he was selected AAA 1st Team all state at linebacker by Atlanta Journal Constitution his junior and senior seasons.

This year he was named to the NJCAA All American Team, and he also made the 2011& 12 Region VI football team while at Butler.

In 2012 He was named First Team All Jayhawk Conference. He played for a JUCO national championship this year and finished his career as a two year starter and a 22-2 win/loss record.

His parents are Tommy Merrell and Kesha Sanders of Cordele.
